At the age of 18, Julian has already distinguished himself as a talented racing driver, winning a 2020 European driver championship in the prestigious Le Mans Prototype (LMP3) category.

Born in San Francisco, son of an Australian-British father and a Japanese-American mother, he currently resides with his family in Switzerland.  Julian speaks English and French fluently as well as some German and Spanish.  He is also an accomplished skier, and a skilled photographer.

Julian launched his career on the Karting circuit in 2013. By 2016 he was an established Go-Kart Racer, competing in 24 French, Swiss, and international races with 14 podium finishes.

His early Karting achievements secured him sponsorship that enabled him to advance from Karting to testing in high-performance race cars, including Formula 4, Formula Renault and LMP3 prototypes (2017 & 2018).

In 2018, at the age of 15, he joined the Virage Driver Academy, to prepare for the 2019 launch of his racing career, racing an LMP3 car in the European Ultimate Cup Series, securing a podium at his first-ever race.  In 2020, he went on to win the LMP3 driver championship in this series.

In 2021, Julian will race with Team Virage, competing in a number of Ultimate Cup, ELMS and/or Le Mans Cup Series races as well as several online/eSports races.

Julian balances his physical training and racing schedule with being a full-time university track high school student. He also enjoys designing and building race car simulators for online racing and advanced driver training.

Testimonials

Julian is a promising young talent! I have followed Julian since his debut in go-karts and quickly recognized he possessed the natural talent required to become a professional race driver. He has refined his ability to work efficiently with his race engineers and mechanics to get the best out of himself, the Team and the car. These qualities were evidenced by his recent 2020 LMP3 Championship win. He is an outstanding, young and promising race driver!

Julian confirmed this year the great potential we saw in him 2 years ago: a fast, reliable and race winning professional driver. I hope Julian will get the chances to develop this potential further and am sure than anybody who will support him will have the satisfaction to see him become one of the great drivers of the future. I personally will support him, it's worth every effort, time and money.
