Puts you in the shoes of a professional racing driver over two days.
Day One:
Meet the entire crew at Virage, and get a tour of the workshop and driver training center. You will then become acquainted with the Le Mans Prototype (LMP) race car, including the functions of the buttons and dials on the steering wheel and dash. A race driver will then explain some of the basic procedures LMP drivers follow on test days and endurance race weekends.
Day Two:
You will start early in the morning at the Virage gym with a physical assessment; your reaction speeds, strength, core, balance, and cardiovascular fitness will be tested and compared to a database of professional and amateur drivers. After a small break, you will learn about race car dynamics, driving techniques and endurance race strategy.
Next, you will be put into the Virage simulator, for an hour and a half long session, with the car and track of your choice. You’ll have a race engineer and driver coach by your side, with whom you will analyze your data and videos to perfect your driving technique and improve your lap times. You will do short runs as well as qualifying and race simulations.
Next, you will have a two-hour lunch break then head into Valencia for an outdoor training session by the beach. The day ends back at the workshop where you will receive a report of your day.
